They do come with a booklet, and there are loads of instructions online, www.mamatoto.org http://www.nandu.hu/English/Practical/babycarrier.htm and http://www.kantoliinakanava.fi/sidontaohjeet?currDir=. (finnish site!) spring to mind Smile2
There are really good instructions and info with the Storchenwiege slings when you buy them! You may have to practise a little, but if you use it every day for a week, then you'll soon be away with it. There are some really simple ties you can put the sling on and put the baby in afterwards too. There are some videos to see at www.mamatoto.org to help you see how it's done.
I think you'd soon appreciate how versatile a wrap sling is. We LOVE ours!
And here is the lovely Albert- even though he is bright he is a joy!

In case the orange scares you- I'm ginger, the baby is ginger, and Daddy was ginger before he went grey and bald (there is a bit of an age difference)!

please ignore the clash of colours- I was indoors and the blue and orange didn't matter so much!

Edited for another go at it! here goes....

I love this pic of Vicky - DH took it as we were walking down the towpath on a dark Winter evening last year :o)

Wonderful supportive Inka - still comfy for letting DS1 have his nap on my back while heavily PG

and cushy lovely Leo, we only had this for a short short while, but it was a lovely wrap to use with 4 week old DS2
