I'm copying/editing my post from the ggbt thread to here, and adding pics, so I have a thread to reference when others ask about tying MTs etc.
With front carries I have my own odd method of tying, it's not as comfy to start with and it's not so easy to get tight but it's far more comfortable after a few minutes than the usual cross-at-the-back/tie-at-the-front way. I tie the waist strap and sit dd4 in the body as normal, then feed one strap over my shoulder, reach round and thread it through the waist strap:

Then I throw the other shoulder strap over my shoulder, catch hold of it and twist it round the first one

before taking the straps to the front on the same side they came from

and tying as normal

For back carries, I tie the waist straps high up either just under my bust or over it, sit dd4 on my shoulders, get the body of the carrier up her back and the shoulder straps over my shoulders, then slip her legs off my shoulders so that she's sitting in the carrier. I pass the straps down over my shoulders, under my arms and cross under her bottom like a normal rucksack, then tie them in the same place as the waist strap, I do half the knot first then thread one strap through the waist strap before finishing the knot.
The pics here are with an ergo

As before, any different tying methods for ABCs/MTs welcome!!
