found my pictures of doing a tibetan from when dd4 was about 4mo!  They're from about the middle of the process unfortunately, but it's a mirror of the the first side and people use different ways of getting their child up onto their back in the first place...

Start by getting child on your back via your chosen method, I lie the child on the wrap, cross the right 'strap' of the wrap to the left side, grip the wrap *tightly* and *snugly* in each hand with left hand crossed over the right, ie left hand holding right strap as facing, as this will be left strap once the baby's on my back, and lift up to my shoulders, my left arm comes over my head and each hand rests on its shoulder still gripping the wrap tightly.  This is the same for tibetan or rucksack, as is the next bit, placing one 'strap' somewhere secure (between teeth or knees for most people!) before taking the other 'strap under the armpit on the side it's on, feeding it round the baby's back and under the other armpit, then threading it through itself on the first shoulder, which is where the pics start:

pull the wrap right through so it's tight:

then take the other strap and repeat the process...  find the top edge:

pass it under the arm and round the baby's back:

under the other arm and pull it snug:

feed the end through the shoulder-strap bit:

and tie in front:

padaa!!

the fabric covers the baby 3 times:

spread the fabric out on the shoulder by finding the edges:

and on the other shoulder:

and you're done Smile2
